A Humble Beginning

A business built in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic

Shun's Little Kitchen is the brainchild of Chef Daniel “Dani” Molinos, his sister Dennise and his wife Arisa. The idea to start this business was conceived in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

 

For many years, the Molinos family has been known, by relatives and friends alike, to be seasoned homecooks. Chef Dani's parents, Dem and Au, often got compliments for their cooking (potlucks) at social gatherings. Mama Au’s famous baked macaroni, amongst her and Papa Dem’s other food specialities, has always earned praise from their guests, who kept telling them that they should make a business out of their cooking.

 

It was only until the COVID-19 pandemic that Chef Dani decided to put the whole idea into fruition, featuring his mother’s delicious baked macaroni recipe plus his chicken wings, leche flan, etc.  His mother has since passed the baked mac recipe onto him and his sister, Dennise, who now acts as his “sous chef”. It’s a family effort—with his parents as their best food critics, and with his baking savvy wife, Arisa, in charge of the drinks and desserts menu.
